gear shifting

I have a 21 speed mountain bike and am having trouble shifting efficiently. is there an easier guide than trial and error. Thankyou Faye

It has been my experience that attempting to smooth out the shifting on bikes can be very difficult due to the variances and idiosyncrasies that apply to each manufacturer.

What is usually the easiest and also best for the bike, is to have your local bike shop look into this when they are tuning up your bike.

While often people don't want to pay to have their bike tuned up, the value that someone familiar with a variety of systems offers is worth sparing yourself the headaches as well as ensuring the bike will last and continue to perform in peak condition.
