QUESTION: Scott, I have a database with one table called Documents with the follwing fields : "DocID", "Dnote" and an attachment field called "Doc". I I now need to be able to create a form where i can put a "Dnote" number in that will find the record in the table where the dnote number is the same as the one in the search box. If it can't find the record it must give a message saying that it can't be found. Is it possible and if yes can you please help me? Regards.

ANSWER: Just use the Combobox wizard to create a Search combo (3rd option).

QUESTION: Hey Scott, I do not want to make use of a combo box. I want the user to enter the number into a text box and then it must bring up the record.

Answer
The user can still just type in the code, they don't have to pull down the combo. But if you want, you can convert it to a text box and just use the code that the wizard generated.
