BIKE REBUILD

I just received a used FUJI GRAN TOURER 12 Speed bike. It needs some work; tires/tubes, cables, brake pads along with a good cleaning and regreasing all the bearings.  Do you think this is worth my time/energy? I figure that it is old, 20 or more years but it looks/feels good. What do you think?  Thank You!!

I just looked at a pic of the FUJI GRAN TOURER...nice looking bike.

Now, you will have two groups of people on this subject with totally different opinions.

The 1st group will say if YOU like the bike and don抰 mind investing time and money into a potentially good bike AND if you like it then go for it!

The 2nd group will tell you don抰 bother. It old, the frame COULD have micro cracks, it抯 most likely steel and by today抯 standards outdated as you can get aluminum, carbon fiber ext...

Bottom line if it were me...Im on the fence. I would have to see a picture of the bike. Maybe I would do it as a project or if you plan on racing or distance riding get an updated bike that抯 lighter, newer, better technology.

What do you plan on doing with it once its built?
