cube acid 29er
Question
I wish to get into some xc riding [nothing to challenging]and need to purchase a mountain bike. The cube acid 29er is the bike I am considering getting. My only reservation is the Rock Shox xc 32 29 forks supplied with the bike. These forks are described as an entry level fork.As my riding improves I don't want the fork limiting my progress,as the rest of the bikes specifications are very good and don't require upgrading.I would buy the Ltd Pro version [the same specifications except fitted with Rock Shox Reba rl 29 forks]but they are not available where I live until December. My question is are the Rock Shox xc 32 29 forks suitable for an intermediate level of xc riding?
Answer
Hello Karl,
The Reba in 26" is a nice fork, and will do also an nice job at the 29" versions.
The XC is an entry level, so if you not want to hold back you should make an decision that only you can answer (to your expectations).
Maybe you can hold back till December, and could you save some money for the Reba.
The Reba is already a while on the market, so I can't imagine that your local bike store can't order it. Maybe your local bikestore can switch the XC against the Reba (will cost some extra money but that ain't the case yet).
Or maybe you can order the Cube with the Reba at internet and let it ship to your frontdoor...
Let me know if I can help you further Karl!
Good luck
