3K rule
Question
Michael,
Wow, it happened today!
There was a crash under 1K, then several splits among the survivors. The first split was 1 second after the winner, and the second was 8 seconds after the 13th.
The ruling kept the 1 second between 1st and 2nd, I guess saying that that 1 second had nothing to do with the crash, but the ruling eliminated all other gaps, giving everyone in the group the time of the best placed of all the splits: 2nd place, 1 second behind.
So it appears to me that the answer to my question is that they all get the time of the best placed finisher of the group they were with.
Thought you'd like to know.
Great tour so far!
Paul
Answer
Hello Paul,
It was an outrageous stage today, and I think that today it's gonna be a day like yesterday.
Already 3 riders out (Sitsov, Rochas and Tjallingii).
It surprised me that you rated me lower as expected, those rules are always complicated and for something who worked in a cyclestore and not at the UCI/ASO, those rules are not always understandable.
You can always ask me about anything (except rules).
Thanks and enjoy the stages.
Best regards,
Michael
