are my golf clubs mens or womens?
Question
Hi, please help me, I brought a set of King cobra Norman oversize about 4 years ago. I am trying to sell them now on trademe (new zealands ebay)
I sold them as womens golf clubs as that is what I brought them as. Though now I have been told they are actually mens clubs, and have seen the same clubs on ebay being sold as mens clubs.
Are you able to tell me for sure if these are womens or mens clubs?? Im very confused.
Answer
Greetings Sacha,
King Cobra makes oversize clubs in both men's and women's sets, as does most. Because of this, and without seeing them, I wouldn't be able to tell for sure. If the set of irons were graphite, they were most likely ladies, or senior men's flex. If the set was steel shafted, they were most likely men's flex.
You can also look on the label of the shaft for the following:
L....Ladies flex
W....Women's flex
Lite....Senior men's flex
R....Regular Men's flex
S....Stiff Men's flex
X....Xtra-Stiff Men's flex
Uniflex....is Callaway's label for Men's regular flex
From a marketing point of view, alot of ladies clubs are "prettier" than men's, that is, have pink or blue accents. And if I'm not mistaken, most of Cobra's clubs are gold/black accents for men's and blue/gray for ladies clubs.
I hope this gives a little bit more info and insight to help better assist you in determining what your Cobra irons are.
