Question
What is the proper pronunciation of Spanish golfer Tania Elosegui's name
Answer
Hello and good evening Paula. Although I think Mainland Spain and Mexico vary somewhat on pronunciations and dialects etc, I travel quite a bit in Mexico with my Golf Clinics and do have some Spanish experience so I will give it a shot. Knowing the Spanish alphabet it should sound like this in English Tonya Ay los'ay wie or in Canadian eh los' eh wie I think the g is silent. In Spanish E sounds like the English letter long A O always sounds like Long O. I sounds like Long E and U sounds like ooh. In the Spanish alphabet all vowels only have one sound which is nice.
