golf clubs
Question
I am looking to purchase a set of irons and was told senior flex would be as good as women's flex. I don't want to purchase the wrong clubs as they are not inexpensive. I am 5'3" and in my late 50's.
Answer
Greetings Mary
First of all, let me start off by saying that you should be commended for your desire to "getting it right" the first time. Yes, golf equipment can become rather pricey, but the wrong golf equipment is just a waste of your hard earned money!
Because I'm not able to fit you via e-mail, I would suggest is you get face-to-face feedback from a local PGA/LPGA professional. From the initial mention that you are 5'3", I would be inclined to say that a senior flex may be too long for you. Women's clubs in general, are about 1/2" to 1" shorter than men's clubs.
I wish you the best of luck in finding the best fit for your wonderful game of golf! Thank you for your question and ......keep it in the fairway.
