Question
Par = # of holes allowed to get the ball in.

Eagle = 2 strokes under par and the ball goes in.

Birdie = 1 stroke under par and the ball goes in.


Is this the correct rule?

Dear Arjay, thanks for the question. You've got it.  Those are correct in scoring, but let's not forget the double eagle, also known as the albatross for scoring a 2 on a par 5, or a miraculous 1 on a par 4.  Lastly, the Ace, for a hole in one, on a par 3.  Good luck and remember...
