Pro/Amature Status
Question
I have an established career in the engineering business. A few years ago I got certified as a golf Teaching professional. (Not the PGA but another teaching organization) I did this for fun but unfortunately it affected my amature status because I was getting paid to teach people part time on my time off from my regular job. By all means this has not been an attempt at a career move. I don't play enough golf and I don't teach any more and I don't even consider myself a golf pro due to my real 9-5 day job. Is there anything that I can do to regain my amature status and be allowed to play in amatuer events?
Answer
Dear Tom, thanks for the question. There is indeed a way to regain your amateur status. I've attached a link that explains the process. Not a problem at all, just may take a little time. Good luck, thanks again, and remember...
