QUESTION: I was described by Tommy Armour as "the best golfer I ever saw" and by Bobby Jones as "a magician with a golf club" I died as a result of injuries in a street fight, WHO AM I ?

Tony, good to hear back. That's a tough one. I was able to gather what little is out there from good 'ol Dad...once he told me the last name, I simply googled him. He only remembered that many thought his swing was the most natural of those days which seems consistent with your original email. I only learned that he had won the Canadian Open a couple of times among some smaller tournaments. Dad also thought that he had written a book after the prodding of his contempories finally convinced him. I'm sure that would tell a much better story if it's still out there. I'll keep checking.
