COURSE LAYOUT
Question
Please help settle a golf bet. I remember reading about a course, I believe it hosted a major, that had no holes of consecutive pars. It has some time ago that I read this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Answer
Barry,
Sorry, but I just don't have any idea. I would imagine there could be a lot of courses that turned out with pars of 4-5-4-3-4-5-4-3-4 or some other similar combination on each nine. Since most of the majors are now held on courses where par is 70 or 71, the course you are describing is probably not in the rotation anymore.
Wish I could have been more helpful.
