Pro playing in club championship

Question
We have a young man who just turned pro in 2009. He happens to be our reigning club champ and would like to defend his title this year,even though he is considered a pro. Is he permitted to play in the club championship?

That is a decision to be made by your rules committee. Does your club championship rules specify it is an amatuer event? If the championship rules does not prohibit the play of professionals then I would  believe that the tournament is open to all members. But as I said that is the a decision for the tournament rules committee.
