Can I become a professional golfer?
Question
Hi, I am currently 20 years and have been playing golf from the age of 17.My handicap is a 3. I've only been playing golf part time and over weekends, because my parents wont let me play fultime. I only started getting serious about the idea of playing golf professionally when I turned 19. I never had any coaching of sorts, I coached myself to this point, at the beginning of this year I concentrated fully on golf for two months at started to bring in sub-par rounds consistently.... Do you think I have a chance to become a professional golfer if I do it fultime?
Answer
Yes.
It sounds like you have some talent for the game. If your desire and dedicaion is strong enough, you could be an exception. There are many factors at work, of course. You are way behind your contemporaries so it will take extra hard work to reach the goal of playing professional golf.
I wish you good luck.
Sincerely,
