HSS & Moe Norman

In the past month I have developed a hybrid swing using some of HSS and Moe Norman concepts.  I am 64 and have never been so accurate !!! I am wondering why people have not given Moe Norman more credit for these swing mechanics discoveries ?  Moe was long before Jerry Heard.  By the way - My solution to preventing hooks is primarily the combination of putting the ball back in the stance and opening the clubface.  Two of the many hidden values of this swing are virtually no divots taken and nice soft shots landing on the greens.

Moe Norman's was given his dues in the mid 1990's and his method was extensively marketed by a company. Then about 3 years ago the same method was marketed again under a different name as a "New Discovery" by the same person who had marketed and sold the original company.

It is important to know that there is no perfect swing and Moe Norman's swing mechanic discoveries were developed to fit him and will work for some and not for others. I do not know what you mean by HSS.

In regards to your solution for preventing hooks, if it works for you that is great. But I do want to caution you that they are compensations for flaws which occur during your swing that presently match up to the timing of your current swing. If the timing of your swing changes then so will the type of shots you will hit.

There is really no substitute for sound fundamentals, which need time and proper practice to develop. But I wish you well with your game.
