power and consistency.
Question
how do i get more power and consistency on my iron shots?
also how do i create more backspin on 9iron-LW shots?
Answer
Hello and thank you for asking. Your first question is too general for a direct response. Some keys are proper lag on the downswing, decending blow on impact, quiet lower body, try to maintain spine angle, and acceleration through the ball.
Backspin is created by a decending blow, soft high quality clean balls, clean grooves on the clubface, and a solid hit... it also helps if you are hitting on an uphill lie, into the wind, and on soft greens. There is no "special" swing to do to create backspin.
