which club
Question
is there a chart aviliable to tell you which club to use when?
thank you glinda
Answer
Glinda: There is no chart that tells you how far to hit each club. Because of differences in people's strength, build, flexibility and athletic ability, distances clubs are hit will vary greatly.
The chart you will make will be for your own game. Once your swing becomes repetitive, you'll begin to hit each club a consistent distance. By measuring each club, you'll create your own chart. And even this will be subject to conditions you'll encounter during play such as wind, changes in elevations, air temperatures and course conditions.
When dealing with shots close to and around the greens, there is one "rule of thumb" to consider. A ball rolling is more easily controled than one in the air. So when chipping or pitching, land the ball on the green as close to the edge as possible and let it roll to the hole. Experimentation and practice are the only things that will teach you what to use and where.
Hope this helps Glinda. Wishing you
