Putter
Question
Thanks Marc for your explanation, and hope everything is ok with your family. I made the exercise resting the putter over may hand as you told me, and what I notice is this, the face of the head of the putter is looking to the ceiling but the head points just a little bit down. So I understand that my putter is a Face Balanced Putter and a 15 to 20 degree toe wieghter putter. That磗 perfect! Its a very good way to know the caracteristics of a putter.
But Marc, can you tell me what is the purpose of these specific caracteristics ?, this putter promotes an specific kind of back and throuht swing? Is there some special considerations to have in mind?.
Thanks again for your help and support.
Best regards!

-----Question-----
Hello mark, please I need your explanation regards the following. I have a Ping G5i - B60 putter, and a Ping tech wrote me a note with the following specifications, but I don磘 understand nothing.
"The G5i B60 is actually between a face balanced (face parallel to the ground) and a heel-toe weighted putter like an Anser (face on about a 45 degree angle to the ground). If face balanced is 0 and the heel-to is 45, then the B60 would be about 15 to 20 (closer to face balanced). The B60 is for someone that is close to straight back and straight through but their stroke comes inside the line ever so slightly."
What is a face balanced (face parallel to the ground)?
What is heel-toe weighted... etc etc etc.
15 to 20 (closer to face balanced)?br>
face on about a 45 degree angle to the ground?
Marc can you explain me all these topics considering that I磎 a beginner and yes, I want to learn and understand the type of putter that I have and the type of stroke that is made for or works best.
Thank you very much in advance!

Hello Bernado,
Sorry for the very late reply I have had some urgent family issues to sort out.
Thanks for the question.
The best way to see what sort of putter you have is to open your hand as if you were a waiter carrying a tray. Now rest the shaft accross your fingers so the club is balanced on your hand.
Now look at the putter head. If the face of the putter is looking directly to the ceiling, it is a face balanced putter. If the end of the head is pointing down at a 45 degree angle it is a heel toe wieghted putter. If the puter head is pointing down but not much then it is the 15 to 20 degree toe wieghter putter.
If this is still not clear, let me know and I'll explain it in another way.
best regards,
Marc Evans.
Answer
Hello Bernado,
Thanks for the question. How are you?
A face balanced putter is very stable and because the wieght is distributed to keep it in balance there is not a natural tendancy to twist or turn the putter head. For this reason it complements those who have or want a straight back and through path.
In contrast, a heel toe weighted putter will have a natural tendancy to turn a little due to something called centrifugal force. You don't need to worry about this, all you need to know is that this type of putter complements players with an in-to-square-to-in type of stroke.
I hope this helps.
best wishes Bernado,
Marc Evans.
