and make money at playing.EX:20,000 to 30,000 per year?
Thank you.

Answer
Hi Dan:
I am assuming you mean pro golf?  As far as an entry level developmental Tour, there are lots of little ones scattered about the country, and my guess is entry fees would be between 400-1,000 per week, but you would be playing for your own money.  Usually there is no Sponsor money added, so purses are small and payouts are proportionate.  The next step up would be something like the Hooters Tour or the Gateway Tour.  Entry fees for those events are about $1100 each, payout is pretty good, usually about 15 tournaments in a series.  Good news about them is they are located mostly in one locale, so travel expenses are kept to a minimum.  Entry level Pro Golf is pretty tough to make money at, unless you are one of the top 5 players in that area.  Again, usually there is no Sponsor money, so it means every player puts up his cash and goes and tries his luck against other guys willing to do the same thing.  So as far as a total Dan, it would just depend on where you went and how many tournaments you played in.  I would guess nowadays it would cost about $30-50K per year to play on an entry level Tour.  Good luck.
