flight of the golf ball

hi john,
i I'm having trouble with the flight of the ball. i hit it to high.
should i get shafts with a higher kick point. i hate to infest in the shaft if they do not work,am i swinging to steep, am i using to much wrist action. right now I'm using an 8 degree head with a stiff shaft. hope you can solve my problem.

Hey Kazz,
I'm not really a big fan of making drastic equipment changes due to something like ball flight. Yes, swinging on a steeper plane can cause you to hit the ball a bit higher. It's more likely the culprit than too much wrist action. I've seen plenty of guys with a lot of wrist action hit the ball low. If your hitting an 8 degree driver excessively high, chances are that a shaft change may not make much of a difference for you. My advice is to get a couple of lessons from a teaching pro. It'll probably cost less than a new driver or shafts, and will help you a whole lot more in the long run.
