baffler clubs
Question
when reviewing baffler clubs -give explanation as to what irons they replace by loft degree.
Answer
Harry,
This will vary a bit from one manufacturer to another, but this should give you an idea. If you started with a pitching wedge (typically about 48 degrees of loft) and worked your way through the set, you'd typically subtract 3 to 5 degrees of loft for each club. This would mean the 9 iron would be about 43-44 degrees, the 8 iron around 39-40 degrees, etc. The gap between short irons is usually a bit higher than the gap between long irons ( the difference in most 3 and 4 irons is probably only 3 degrees). I hope this is of some help to you.
Thanks,
John
