divot help
Question
I have recently started playing golf, my game had started to improve and I was getting consistent strikes on the ball, then all of a sudden the last 3 game I played I can barely strike the ball I constantly take a divot before I strike the golf ball which causes all manor of errors, so my question is what causes me to hit the ground before I hit the ball ? I am a 24 handicap and have been playing around 1 year.
Answer
Hello and thank you for asking. There are several factors that make you hit the ball fat. They can be early release, dipping the body on the downswing, too steep of a downswing angle, or hanging back too much before impact.
