Recommendation for a starter set
Question
My son (13 years old) is interested in a starter set. Could you recommend one? Or at least the minimum requirements?
Answer
Hi Evelia:
Minimum requirements? Putter, Pitching Wedge, 9, 7 and 5 iron, Hybrid club (21 degrees), 3 wood (15 degrees). It always depends on how serious he is. If he shows a little interest in the game, a starter set is fine. If after he starts playing he really takes an interest in it, get him a full set of clubs. I can recommend who I use and give you a couple of coupons to get you started. But for now, a starter set is fine. Most companies will accommodate starter sets. If you have trouble getting what I have suggested, let me know. Most important thing, get him playing. And get him some Professional instruction. Start him off right and he'll have a better chance of sticking with it. It's a great game.
