Higher ball trajectory
Question
Hello,
Thank you so much for helping people thru this forum.
I been playing golf for the past two year and I am a 8 handicap now. Recently I been seeing my ball trajectory to be higher that before (irons, driver, woods). I have not lost any distance, I hit my pw 145-150, and 6iron 195-200.
I struggle on a windy day.
I dont think its the ball position problem.
Can you please help me with this. Thanks
Answer
usually, higher ball flights with irons doesn't mean anything bad regarding your mechanics and such. but if your driver flies higher than normal, then you know there is something that you need to fix. to fix this, there is an excercise you could. i have an equipment that can can be used as a coat for the players. it wraps around their body and their arms. their arm movemnt is restricted. so basically, after making impact, they can't release. instead, they feel like they keep on opening the face up after the impact. which can lead to a lower ball tracjectory. it worked for my students but since you don't have that equipment, it may be tough for you to do. so try to get the face of the club still without flipping your hands over at the impact.
