low hooks or high pushes with the driver
Question
Up until recently I have hit my driver pretty consistently. Then about three weeks ago I started hitting really bad hooks that only get off the ground about 15 feet. Once every 7-10 drives I'll hit a shot that feels solid but then I look up and it's sailing off to the right and flying perfectly straight but FAR from the fairway. I've done a couple drills to see if I'm casting the club and that doesn't appear to be the cause. I have also started getting more distance that I used to out of my other clubs, (hitting a 7 or 8 from 150 instead of a 5 or 6). So my question is what are some other possible causes of the hooks/pushes? Is it possible that the increased distance is due to a faster clubhead speed and I may need a stiffer shaft on my driver (Titleist 983K 10.5* reg flex)? Anything that will get me back near the fairway would be appreciated.
