3i/4i Vs 7 wood

Hi, I have 3w and 5w. And I have 5-PW Irons. I was planning to buy either an hybrid or a 7 wood. My swing speed is fast so i am planning to go for a stiff make. However, I am thinking about choosing between 7w and hybrids. I hit pretty comfortable with woods. But in rough area or areas not in fairways, I am just thinking should i buy an hybrid or an 7 wood. In terms of distance and comfort, how much would that differ?

It's a little bit difficult to answer, because so much of the decision should be based on how the clubs feel and perform for you.  For hitting out of rough and non- fairway areas I would think that one of the hybrid clubs would probably be better.  They are probably going to be heavier in terms of swing weight, and also tend to have very low centers of gravity, which helps the ball get airborne faster.  My best advice would be to borrow a couple of clubs from a friend or two, or try out some demos from a range or pro shop.  When you do, don't just tee the ball up and hit a few...try them out from the rough, fairway, hard ground or anything else you can find to see how they compare from different lies.
