Hiting the golf ball better
Question
Dear Dathaeus,
My name is Patrick Wambold and I have been golfing for about a year. I joined the golf team at my school this year and i shoot in the 50's. I need a little help with my drives. It goes about 150 yard but sometimes it curves right. Also with my irons i need help with that. Sometimes when i hit the ball it goes really high and not far and others i hit the top and it dos not go that far. Pleas help me. I would really appreciate it. Thank you.
Answer
Hi there, sorry for the delay... you have some typical problems that a lot of golfers have... fading/slicing the ball (curving to the right) and hitting irons too high. Quickly, fading/slicing come from an open club face and an out to in swing plane. Irons hit high is a result of hitting the ball on the upswing, and not comrpessing the ball by delofting the club head.
