Draw Clubs?
Question
Eddie: I am a left handed golfer that consistently hits the ball to the left side of the course. Would a set of left handed draw clubs help me or am I confused. What is the best way to deal with this from an equipment stand point.
Thanks,
Greg
Answer
Hey Greg:
Getting a draw enhanced club is only a bandaid, but at least it's a start. You need to learn how to hold the club correctly in your right hand, and then learn how to release the clubface. Your hands must be used correctly to be able to turn the clubface over as the club goes through impact. If your grip is poor or weak, you simple cannot do what I am talking about and you'll spend the rest of your life playing from left field (no fun). So my advice is to go see a PGA Professional, tell him you need to grip the club in such a way that you want to promote a draw, which means your ball would move from left to right ON PURPOSE. Holding the club correctly in your right hand (shaft should rest along the base of your fingers, not up in the palm), and then learning how to rotate the hands correctly is your key..........not new clubs that are slightly draw enhanced.
