hitting a higher drive
Question
I took lessons and used a swing trainer and have been able to groove an inside out swing. I am straight off the tee, or drawing the ball at times when I drive. A problem I seem to have developed, however, is difficulty getting the ball up in the air enough with my driver. I play the ball just to the inside of the toe of my front foot. Any suggestions.
Answer
Joe,
If you are satisfied with the direction of your drives, I have two suggestions for you. Try a driver that has more loft on it for one. If you're hitting a 9 degree driver try a 10 degree or even a 10 and a half degree driver. The other alternative is to try a driver that has a lower kick point. This will send the ball on a higher trajectory.
Let me know how this works.
