Is there any way..?

Question
QUESTION: Is there any way that I could just videotape my swing and send it to you or any other person on this site and have you guys look at it? I just got V1 Home 2.0 so it works.

I could post the video on like youtube or something as well..

ANSWER: Jeff:

I would post it to you tube, let me know how to find it, and then go from there.  You could also send it to me at [email protected].

sorry its a bit dark

ANSWER: Jeff:

I guess I want to know what your question is?

The video is not very good, so it's hard to see what I need to see.  It looks like you have a lot going on, lots of moving parts.  I would quiet down your takeaway, you tend to grab the club right before you take it back.  It always seems that it is easier if you learn to swing the club back instead of snatching it away with your hands.  Allow your arms to swing the club back and let your hands set the club at the top.  I would also really quiet your legs in the backswing.  You tend to straighten your right knee which destroys your balance.  Maintain the flex in your right knee, this will make it more solid in the backswing and give you more support for making the forward swing.  I also noticed you swung the club a little over the top, which means from the top of the backswing, your hands get pushed out away from you.  From there, you have to swing the club down and across the line, which causes slices and shots that go to the right.  You'll tend to pull your short irons and hit your longer ones to the right.  The correct path you need to be swinging your club on (if you pictured a clock and your target was 12 o'clock) is out towards one o'clock.  An out to in path, which you have, means you are swinging the club towards 10 or 11 o'clock.  You need to be swinging towards 12 o'clock or 1 o'clock.  Swing the club towards the target, not away from it.  So quiet down your legs and hands, and start swinging the club more towards your target.  You'll be OK, you have good motion.

QUESTION: thanks a lot :]

Another quick thing - when you say swing to 12 or one, does it mean my follow through to be more upwards than going straight left after impact?

Answer
Jeff:

Yes, when you swing your club at and past the ball, swing the club in the direction of 1 o'clock.  If you were playing baseball and you were aimed at centerfield, swing the bat towards the second baseman, instead of the shortstop like you do now.  Change the direction the club swings into the ball and you'll see a different result.  Also, quiet your base (your legs).  In the backswing, your legs don't do much.  Your's are moving all over the place.  Keep the knee flex in your right knee.  You tend to straighten the leg (kills your balance).  Once you are at the top of the backswing, go ahead and move to your finish.  You do that fine.  To answer your question, yes your follow through will be more upright, instead of down and left.
