Golf Adress
Question
I have a prostaff set and a 60 degree lob wedge. I was wondering how far away my hands should be from my body with each club, and how low or high my hands should be with each club. The question relates to adressing the ball before the start of the golf swing.
Answer
Hi Luke:
Basically speaking Luke, when you tilt forward at the address position, your arms (and hands) should be hanging below your chin. Your arms are under your shoulders and your hands would hold onto the club and we'd see them under your chin or mouth. In a good setup, your spine would be pretty straight, your butt would be out, you'd be tilting forward from the hips (not bendingover from the waist), and you'd have a slight flex of the knees. You want more tilt in the hips and less flex in the knees.
