You need to change the path the club approaches the ball on Christopher. You are swinging the club too much from in to out. Whenever the club approaches the ball too much from the inside, your angle of attack is too shallow, which causes thin shots. And because it's coming into the ball from the inside, the ball will start right of the target. Push fades are nothing more than that. Once you get sick of hitting those, then you'll start turning your hands over at impact in an attempt to close the face, but this produces the hook spin and eventually a duck hook. So to change the direction your club approaches the ball, here is a simple exercise for you to do. Stand directly behind your ball, about 10 feet away, like you are about to start your alignment procedure. Picture your golf ball as a big clock. 12 o'clock would be at the top, 6 o'clock would be at the bottom, 9 o'clock would be over to the left, and 3 o'clock would be over to the right. Can you picture the clock on your golf ball?
When you hit your ball, you are swinging the club into the ball at 7 o'clock and swinging out towards 1 or 2 o'clock. This is too much from in to out. What you need to do (for a while) is swing the club into the ball from 5 o'clock towards 11 o'clock. When the club approaches the ball from the 5 o'clock position and is moving towards 11 o'clock, the ball would start more to the left of target, not to the right. And if your path is along a 5 to 11 type path, your angle of attack would be steeper, which means you'll start taking divots again and hitting it more solid.
Practice and see what happens Christopher. A simple change using the image of a big clock can really help you.
