Dear John,  Came across your name checking out Orlando golf. Three and a half decades ago I worked at Holiday Rent A Car with you and the McConnells.  Your passion then was golf, and obviously you made it a career.  I've wondered from time to time how you Pete and Doris have been.  I hope they're doing well too.  Didn't want to pass up a chance to say hi.  Take Care,  Roger Mochel

Hey there Roger!!  I sure do remember you and have wondered about you over the years.  Doris died of cancer quite a few years ago; don't remember how many.  The last I heard of Pete, and that was several years ago as well, is that he is well.  Don't know if that's still the case.  As for the golf, I turned professional shortly after we sold the business.  Went into the Club professional end of it, worked for awhile in the St. Pete area; Cove Cay, Pasadena and a couple others before I took a job in Sanford (just outside of Orlando).  After about a year, the club changed management companies, brought in their own staff and I was out of a job.  Spent 4 years in Alabama at a club we bought then sold it when I won a National event as a 50 year old senior and thought I could make it on the tour.  That didn't work out and now I still live in Sanford but travel to the St. Pete area each week to work with and for a friend who owns 2 Irish pubs, a used restaurant equipment business and is an avid golfer.
