Driver Shaft and Loft

I have not gotten my swing speed clocked but I do believe it is fast. I am currently hitting a Cleveland Launcher 8.5 with the x shaft. I hit the really high and it tends to go to the right. When I hit the ball straight it goes between 290-320 yards. What do you recommend I do?

Your swing speed has to be over 115 mph if you hit the ball that far. This is a good thing. It sounds like your clubface is open at impact which would cause the ball to go high and to the right. You actually add loft to the clubface when it is open. Try closing the clubface earlier in the downswing. Allow you right hand to cross over the left prior to impact (assuming that you are right handed).

This could solve your problem. If not take a lesson with a PGA Professional.
