Question
Hello,I have started to play golf and i just can't get it to go very straight. i am 11 years old so could you please give me some tips to get my swing more efficient
Answer
Hello Tom:
Best tip in the world right now Tom is to find a good PGA golf instructor and get some lessons. You need the basic fundamentals and they can show you how to practice and improve the fastest. Getting the ball to go straight is nothing more than learning the correct grip and learning how to "square" the clubface up at impact. When you first begin, it's frustrating sometimes because it seems you can't do the same thing twice in a row. But don't worry, you're not alone. All beginners do that. My advice is to have your Dad or Mom ask around or call some golf courses in the area. Ask who teaches for a living and see if they can't get some referrals for you. Then, call one up and go get started. It will cut your learning time in half. You are at a great age to start Tom, don't get started incorrectly and don't get started by listening to anyone who is willing to help you. Only take instruction from a qualified Australian PGA Professional. Good luck in the game of golf, you'll love it. And by the way, hitting it straight is pretty easy. Now go find a good instructor and you'll be hitting it better in no time.
