Golf Schedule
Question
I was wondering if you ca guide me in any way of producing a golf schedule. I was given the task of getting a schdule together for my league. The league consists of 28 individual and we play 16 weeks. We ran into a problem last year wereidivids didn't get a chance to play with everyone, I was hoping to creat a schedule were everyone has a chance o play t least once wih everyoe. Your help would be greatly appreciated thank you, Tom.
Answer
I do not understand this word you wrote... wereidivids
If that is meant to say where individuals that I am OK and understand but I do need that clarified please.
You should not even need 16 weeks if you work it out correctly. But if all else fails extend it from 16 to 28 weeks. It would be a lot more fun that and if you are collecting $$$ for a season ending event it would be better for you and allow you to collect more $$$ for that event. The main quandry that you have is that not everyone will play every week and that is what sidelines planning for you.
My best suggestion is to speak with your local PGA/LPGA Professional, he/she will have many answers and opportunities that you might not be aware of. Also it is better to involved them from the onset of planning as, it gets them and their staff excited as well to be able to serve a group of regular customers. And you never know what if any kind of extra perks they might provide.
One thing I used to do when I was Head Pro / General Mgr was to offer the group at 30 minute clinic at a reduced price every other week for the duration of the league, i.e., $5.00 per person to attend. It never hurts to ask and most will accommodate the request, but the pricing may vary from pro to pro.
Good Luck and again, contact the local PGA/LPGA Professional at the facility you are hosting the event at. I am sure they will be more that happy to assist you.
