Answer
HI Coach;
First let me apologize, I do not recall seeing the original notice from all experts. though I may have and totally misplaced.
Actually I have an idea. What if you took a video of him and posted it to you tube under a PRIVATE file, then sent me the link? I could view it and get back to you.
While I understand what you are saying, without having a visual, I would be guessing at best.
And I am not a fan of guessing. Even more so, it would not be fair to either one he or I to guess.
In the mean time, you are more than welcome to view my website http://robbnunn.com and look for the post from 5/11/2011 "Golf Swing Fundamentals". There might be a big clue for you in there! while your at it, take a look around and view some of the other posts I have. OH yeah...FYI...I always place my name and info on the bottom of my posts.
With reference to your questions though, IF and I Say IF, what is happening what I think is happening as you describe it. I would advise to... eliminate excessive moving body parts AND...immobilize the wrists as much as possible by gripping it FIRMER.
By gripping it firmer, you get the club face back in control. ON a scale of 1 - 10 make him grip around 7.5 - 8, then have him hang on to it that firm throughout the swing. We all already know that, a hook is a sign of a closed club-face at impact. We also already know that the only thing attached to the club is the hands. That being said, the hands are probably the culprit here in un-cocking too quickly and over releasing via a rolling of the hands and club face through the impact zone. So reduce as much as possible the un-cocking and rolling in the hands.
Again, just make a film of him and others on the team as well, and post it to You Tube then contact me via my website and let me know where to view it. I will go look and get back to you over the weekend.
This is of course presuming the problem has not already been fixed.
Take care and good luck.
