New clubs or new shafts

Hello, I've been playing 2002 big bertha irons (Fenwick graphite 6.0 frequency - matched shafts for 9 years and was quite happy until I hit a few balls with an X-20 ( Uniflex ). I was startled by how much more feel and feedback it had. So solid !! X-20 or X-22 with a uniflex shaft as opposed to re-shafting my big berthas ?? I have $ 400.00 available. thanks, jim

First of all sorry for the delay.

What club head was on the X-20 that you hit? If it was similar to your 2002 big bertha irons than I would say the shaft made the difference.

Since you have limited funds, have one club (5 iron) reshafted with the X-20. Take it to the range and see if the shaft is the difference maker. If so have them all reshafted.
