Golf Schedule/Practice
Question
How do I practice more efficiently, I need a schedule on all parts of the game. Putting is my biggest problem, and striking and driving accuracy is my strength. I have round about 3 hours a week to practice but never seem it fun enough to practice!
Thanks!
Answer
Mason,
It's nice that you have 3 hours to practice each week. Practice can be fun if you know how to make it fun. One of the things that I suggest is to play a round of golf on the driving range. After warming up, tee up a ball and pretend to play a round of golf on a course you know. After hitting the drive, imagine where you would be on "the course" and then hit your second shot. Repeat until you're on the green. Play all 18 holes in this manner and it will increase the enjoyment of practice.
As far as the schedule I would have you commit 2 hours to the short game, putting, chipping, pitching and bunker play and 1 hour on the range working on your swing.
Good luck and let me know if this helps.
