Drive slice!
Question
Hey,
Im a pretty casual player but im having a consistant problem driving! no matter what i do i can not drive straight to save myself! Being a right hander i slice it to my right (or draw im not sure..) every time i try. I get good distance but the fact i cant hit a fairway to save myself is driving me nuts. I have a powerbilt 9.5 degree air force one n7 driver and according to my dad i have a pretty quick swing if that helps. the thing that has me confused is the fact i can hit with all my irons and woods nearly dead straight consistantly but i cant drive! any advice you can offer would be great :)
Also my irons and woods are excel titan 2's and theyre in good condition but i was wondering if they are any good and if i should keep them or look to get newer clubs?
Thankyou
Ollie
Answer
Other than learning a new golf swing or optimizing your current swing, here's the quick answer for you. The slicing problem you are experiencing can be somewhat mitigated by using a higher-lofted driver. I recommend that you try a few of them at golf shops or manufacturer's demo days.
