repairing heel of older golf shoe
Question
I haven't played in ten years so the other day I got out my old golf shoes, realizing that spikes are now illegal. I've put the rubber cleats on the soles but I couldn't get the spikes off the heels so I cut the heels off. The Shoe itself is high end and comfortable. Can I buy replacement heels and put them on myself ? I live in central Ohio. Thanks. Steve
Answer
Steve,
I have done some research on shoes when bringing in new products at our golf shop.
In every case there was no way to replace a heel particularly when it was cut off.
The only way to make that happen is to find a shoe cobbler.
Since they are 10 years old it would most likely pay to buy another pair of shoes.
