Drivers
Question
I want to buy a set of Affinity HT ladies petite clubs which includes a 420cc 1 wood and 460cc driver. I have played golf about 5 years but consider myself an average golfer. Is it beneficial to have both or just buy a set with only a 460cc? What is the difference between the two? I appreciate your feedback.
Thanks.
Answer
Hello Sharon:
Thanks for asking this question.
Driver is sometimes called 1 Wood, but driver is more commonly used term. They are basically the same, but in your case I believe Affinity offer 1 Wood with slightly higher degree such as 11.5 than normal Driver which normally has the degree of 10 or 10.5. Sometimes degree of driver can be 9.5 also.
Please look at the degree of 1 wood. If it has 11.5 or more, then it would be a little bit easier to control hitting the ball.
Yet, if you are just comfortable with 10.5 or 10 degree Driver, I don't think you necessarily need to keep 1 wood.
Thanks.
