The Aral Sea is a large endorheic lake located in Central Asia, between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The Aral Sea was once the fourth largest lake in the world, but has since shrunk dramatically due to human activity. The water in the Aral Sea is highly saline, and is therefore considered to be saltwater.
