Answer
Hi;

 I have no idea about any regulations or the edibility of crabs where you are going.  Check with the local authorities once you get there. I do enjoy catching local crabs where I fish which is along the south shore of Long Island NY.  The blue claw crab is the choice for food.  However, there are other species which some people keep and eat.  I am not aware of any poisonous crabs, but there certainly might be.  There are local regulations goverening the size and daily bag limits for crabs here, so that is another thing to check before trying it in a place away from home.  It is also possible some sort of license or permit may be required.  I am sorry I cannot give you any more information about where you will be going.
