Is a the same as triggerfish?

Triggerfish and surgeonfish both belong to the same taxonomic order, Perciformes, but these orders include multiple diverse families; hence, triggerfish are not the same as surgeonfish. Triggerfish belong to the family Balistidae, whereas surgeonfish belong to the family Acanthuridae. While both types of fish have unique characteristics and features, such as a "trigger" mechanism on their dorsal fin in triggerfish or scalpel-like spines in surgeonfish, they represent distinct species with differing taxonomy and ecological roles.
