fly rod
Hi Rich, I recently found this fly rod(I think it's pretty old)in a storage unit that I won at auction and was just wondering if you could identify it. It has no markings on it what-so-ever. There are no eyelets on it except for the very tip. This rod appears to be old but in brand new condition. Any help you can give me on this would be greatly appreciated.

AnswerDennis - I can't tell anything from that single photo. It almost looks like a bait casting rod. If I am going to be able to tell you anything useful I'll need to see close photos of the reel seat, butt section, and ferrules. Given that the rod has no guides it may be something someone was using to practice their wrap technique. If you want more info email me photos at
