Old Fly Rod
Question
Hi Rich. I have a hexagon shaped fly rod made by "Winchester" with the model #6035 on it. The rod is in great shape and is in a "soft case". It has two tips and is a 7' rod. I am curious to find out what a rod like this might be worth. Thank you for your time.
Answer
Hi Kelly. I've not dealt a lot with Winchester rods. I do know the rods from the 20's (which yours should be with a 6035 model number) are considered good rods and do have some value. Photos and a true condition would be needed for a better valuation. At 7 feet it's a very desirable length. Are both tips the same length as each other and the same length as the butt section? The lack of a tube drops the value a little. With more info I'd give you a ballpark value of $200 to $600.
