fly fishing rod

I am looking to find some information on a fly rod I recieved from my Grandfather. It is a Custom Built 800 True Temper 805 it is 8.5ft long.I could not find very much about it on line.  So if you can help me or at least steer me in the right direction I would be very thankful. Susan

Hi Susan.  It's an old deparmtent store rod.  There were several big companies like Wright and McGill that made rods that different department stores sold under their name.  For more good info go to www.classicflyrodforum.com and search for True Temper.  You can also get a profile easily and post your question on the "appraisals and ID" thread.  There are lots of very smart people on that site.  I hope this helps.
