Powell IM6 Western Series Rod

Question
The reel seat of thy rod came a part while fishing and found the butt end but lost the reel seat ring. It is gold anodized aluminum. I contacted Powell (what is left of them) and they can not replace nor have the part. Any suggestions. I this my rod and a want to restore it to its original look.

John - Sorry to hear your reel seat fell apart.  That Western Sierra rod is a great one.  You need to contact Jim Clarkson at Raptor Rod Works in Chico, CA.  He is a rod repair and rod building expert - and he worked in the Powell shop for many years.  He has an extensive stock of original Powell parts and he will be able to get your rod back to great original condition.  Here is his contact information:
