Value

I have acquired a split bamboo fly and casting rod combo. They were made by Sport-man Trading Co. The fly rod has Fuji tokyo Nippon on it. It is in great shape and all rod pieces, flies, hooks, thread are still in the original wood box. The cork in flawless.It appears to have different tips. The casting rod is a bigger offshore looking model and made of bamboo as well. They appear to be very old, would you have a guess on the value or approximate value. Thanks in advance.

Hi David - Unfortunately that set has little to no value...perhaps $25.00 tops.  The Japanese imported bamboo rods made with poor quality Korean cane following WWII by the hundreds of thousands.  What you have are some of these rods.  I hope this helps,
